huh? that's what Jessica and I said to each other while trying to clean the Bergen Peak switchbacks.
As Jeny described it - 'when you are in the switchback try to squeeze your inside elbow to your inside knee'. Of course looking up the trail (and not your front wheel ) helps too. So one of us would stand up the trail they would say "look at me and squeeze". It worked!

Yes - i was back for more fun - i needed redemption after my fall last week. the one where i had to sit down and cry afterward.
Well this week was a different story - I didn't crash - so no need to cry. ;)
I had finally pestered, Jessica Moon Berstein (yes - the JMB that won the Firecracker 50 on a SingleSpeed in 5:40) into coming out to ride with me. It meant missing the BMA gulz ride but I've been trying to ride with Jessica for a while now - so tonight was the night.
We had so much fun. We also learned the technique of 'riding behind jeny' while she cleaned a section - that worked too.

I cleaned the switchback that Tracy "brappped" over and then I cleaned the switchback i fell on. Whew - redemption! I think I got all but one of the switchbacks on the uphill and all the them on the downhill - well - kinda - Jeny spotted me on one and hugged me while I rode it. :)
It was a good night - followed by a nice glass of wine, good conversation and good food. fun! fun! fun!
