Pump it!
Got a call from my friend, Akira, today. Said they just finished up a Pump Track in his backyard and Dave and I should come over and check it out. Click this for an explanation of what a Pump Track is.

Now Dave and I had just finished a 60+mile road ride with 4200ft elevation gain AND chowed down on some burgers AND scarfed down a pitcher of beer at the Southern Sun - so we were in no condition to get back on our bikes - but we went to check it out.
I'm hoping to get over there (Akira lives about a 5 minute bike ride from my house) and give it a try. I hear it really helps your mtn bike skills and speed learning how to "pump" the terrian.
