Buffalo Creek on Sunday

Hit up Buffalo Creek on Sunday with Mark on the SS - it wasn't a very long ride.

First of all - I wasn't moving to fast due to my late night @ the Ghostland show the night before.

Secondly - I had to get back to Boulder to watch Dave's hockey team play in the finals in the playoffs (they lost - but I got to see Dave score a goal and I got to ring my cowbel
l for him. ;-) )

We rode up Stawberry something or other - i was on the SS and it *seemed* really steep. Surprisingly for so early in the season it was loose and dry. Like riding in kitty litter - I was suffering. After about 2.5 miles I looked at my Garmin GPS and it said we had climbed 1100ft in that 2.5 miles. NO WONDER I was suffering. We ended up with a shortish 19mile ri
de with a hefty 4000feet of elevation gain.

We saw Ed and his crew zipping around.(their ride pix here) We stopped and chatted for a bit - Mark said he would have a heart attack if we ever go on a ride and I don't see anyone I know on the trail. I said 'i'm the friendly sort' h
e just rolled his eyes at me.

Mark snapp
ed a few pic of me that day - I LOVE my SS. :D

I staggered into work on Monday with my quads aching. Thankfully due to good nutrition after the ride and throughout Monday and rubbing some Arnica oil on my legs - by Monday evening I was feeling pretty good and recovered.
