Frisco Friday

I had a left over vacation day I had to use by the end of the month so I took Friday off. Luckily for me the weater in Summit County was nice and gas is cheap (esp since the scion gets 31mph)

so off I went to Frisco Nordic Center

I started the day with breakfast at Dot's and since I knew i was gonna get a good workout in - I had a side of gravy with my egg whites, toast and potates. yum!

I skate-skied for the total of 9.6 miles - 2 times around the Frisco Bay loop.

The skies were blue, the temp just ride for a wool jersey and a vest. The snow seemed a little soft and slow but in general the conditions were great. I mean with this view - who could not have a great time.

My first time around it took me a little over an hour including stops. The second time around I vowed not to stop at all I finished the loop in 54 minutes. I was cooked - 2 hours of skate-skiing is enough to do me in.

I finished up around 2pm which allowed for plenty to time to get to the Sunshine Cafe in Dillon.

Man - this place rocks for breakfast and lunch .

I had been thinking about their black bean veggie green chili burger with home-made potato chips for days. My mouth had been watering since Thursday thinking about my lunch i was gonna be having.

It looked as good as I remembered

Obviously it tasted as good as i remembered.

Mucho satisfied I headed home for a nice long nap!
