1930s Craftsman - Dave's Study Before and After

The BEST thing about Dave is that he can literally *fix* anything. He is a true Renaissance man. After 18+ years together, he still constantly amazes me. I can't even say how much I appreciate him.

BUT on the flip side...because he has the ability to fix anything and he's frugal - he never gets rid of anything...so things become "cluttered"

A few weeks ago he shocked me by saying he wanted to declutter his study. I had been wanting to paint the dingy *white* walls, hang some nice curtains and reconfigure his study. So I JUMPED at the chance to do update his study.

I was super stoked to restore the painted over light fixture. I was surprised to see it was a plain metal. Apparently, in the 1920s and 1930s "stamped metal" light fixtures were the rage. We painted copper and white. Turned out great!!

Here are the before and after pictures. It took over a week of my time, but oh so worth it.
