on the rocks - gurlz ride
Kim had organized a ride at Golden Gate State Park. There is this awesome trail - Mtn Lion - that is techy, scary, sketchy and fun. I was excited to go ride this trail as it's been 3 years since i've been out there.
It ended up being a gurlz ride, (left to right) kim, me, ariana, carrie and hilliary(all photo credits kim and carrie)
we had agreed to a late start which was super nice. I got to snuggle and sleep in with my honey before getting breakfast and head to the trail ~12noon.
Kim and Carrie took a bunch of photos. We started off with steep, loose, technical climbing - followed by more steep, loose technical climbing

.......After the climbing was some fun, technical rocky descending.

then i gave it a go.....
whoops - I couldn't make up my mind if i should take the line over the rock or the root - so i went in the middle...nobody was hurt in the taking of this photo. whew! ;)

here's hilliary 
After the rocky descent it was creek crossing after creek crossing - this trail throws all kinds of surprises at you. Kim gracefully negotiating some tricky terrain.
Most notably this little nasty climb that Carrie nicely cleaned and the rest of us gave it our best
. 
We finished with a nice little flowly descent and beers in the parking lot. 
Not a bad Sunday afternoon. :D
