desert solitude
of all places - on Horsethief! This is the 1st time I've been on Horsethief all alone!
Yesterday - i rode from Loma to near Westwater via the Western Rim and camped out at Bitter Creek Campgound (a story for another time).
Today - i worked remote from the Fruita Coffee Shop in the morning and the Super 8 Motel in the afternoon. I was able to knock off of work ~4:30 and I made a beeline to the Kokopelli trailhead to get a quick loop around Horsethief in.
I was surprised to not see another soul on the trail. It's the 1st time I've ever ridden this trail by myself and not seen another person. I could tell I was tired from my ~40 mile ride yesterday and my right hip still isn't 100% since my fall on Tuesday - but it was fun riding my own pace and stopping when I wanted to take pix.
I'm riding while taking this pic - here's a sample of my arm warmer fetish. That dang ricky has got me into the skully designs.
