i'm lucky to have such amazing friends
Jeny was the only reason I was part of the KTR this year. I wanted to be there for her. She worked tremendously hard to prepare for this race. it was going to be her 1st attempt at something this big.
Luckily during this process she found the perfect person to help her prepare, Ed. whew - lucky for me otherwise she probably would've been dragging me all over creation and she would have gotten frustrated waiting on my slow ass. so thank goodness for Ed. ;)
This weekend - jeny proved to be very tough and showed plenty of class and dignity. i really can't express in words how proud i am of her.
The perfect scenerio would've have been she smoked the course without any issues. But she did have issues and handled it the best way she could. And in my experience - sometimes though things don't work out the way you "wanted" them to - you end up becoming a better person by owning up to the issues and looking for a way within yourself to work through them.
All i'll say is that Jeny proved to be one tough cookie and she overcame some of her fears and was gracious to all the racers. I know she was conflicted inside - but she did really well in putting her best foot forward.
