Volunteer duty

I was on call this past week. Got a call Thursday night from an officer to assist in a "missing/endangered person case."

After hearing what i was needed for - i thought "how bad can this be??" it ended up being my toughest case and I got emotionally involved. I really can't say much about this case to protect the privacy of everyone.

I mean usually we come in at a traumatic or crisis moment and it can be very intimate. But in this case - i totally fell in love with the people and am worried about the future for them. All i can say is it's an older, sweet couple. I've been following up and hope to hear good news soon.

man! this is my 3rd year as a Victim Advocate and this one has really hit home. it is continuing to haunt me.
